The Kalihi-Palama Culture & Arts Society, Inc. announces that the 37th Annual Queen Lili’uokalani Keiki Hula Competition will be held on July 19-21, 2012 at the Blaisdell Center Arena.  Mahalo nui loa for the support of our many contributors, the Hawai’i State Foundation on Culture and the Arts, and especially to the Office of Hawaiian Affairs who will again be the major sponsor of the event.  

In August 2011, KPCA was fortunate to be one of seven organizations to receive a gift contribution from Disney in honor of the family’s opening of the Aulani Resort & Spa.  Disney selected organizations that enrich the lives of children and support the Hawaiian culture and conservation.  The Queen Lili’uokalani Keiki Hula Competition and Disney both share in the belief that it is important to malama the children and provide learning opportunities in the traditions of Hawai’i.
